A Place of Reflections

 Buddy April 20, 2002 to June 29, 2013 As it so happens we have come upon Buddy's last few days to fly before his last great flight Over The Rainbow Bridge.  Buddy is in end stage of life. His circulatory system has slowed. He has all the indicators of impending organ failure coming upon him very soon.  He has had several difficult and extreme episodes in the past six weeks. They took a lot out of him.  He does have an extraordinary need for rest and napping throughout each day now and during the night. As much as our entire family would like to be the pet humans holding Buddy to our chests and willing him to be healed and whole, that is not the way it works. Instead, we hold Buddy to our chests daily and tell him how much we love him and how much he means to us.   Image Credit: Bing Images and   Because of Grace Word Press Really, having never been one for the whole New Year's Resolution(s) thingy, the mention of 'resolving(s)' at least did spark this question, I asked myself:  "If there was one thing that could be done regularly (consistently) to have a positive impact in the world in the year 2013, what would that thing be?" That answer came fairly quickly in the form of  promoting  "Kindness Matters".  I had several sources of inspiration for this. I am out there in 'social media' (i.e. Twitter) on almost a daily basis. I see a lotta baaaaad schtuff. I also see some very good, loving and KIND schtuff.  I had seen the Twitter hash tag #KindnessMatters.  Photo credit:   Big Big Forums arts crafts knit-spring-crochet-animals It's the end of one type of twitter era for me after two years, three weeks and three+ days.  Gone are the multiple listed people tweets for my primary interests   #GoPackGo Packers fans and   #WritersWednesday (authors and writers) and the first basic twitter tradition I ever learned #FF for #FollowFriday which now includes #FollowSaturday through #FollowThursday .
